I love
"Our Finest Gifts" Will it be out in some format soon? |
| WOW! You're likely to be swamped with favorable comment, even if I have to send one message after another myself. | |
| Hi, Did you bring back memories. I had a 56 T-Bird as a very young man. It was my pride and joy. I often think of the exciting things that happened in that little car. Thanks for bringing back some fond experiences. - Wes T. | |
| Hi Rick, as usual you continue to amaze me with such wonderful artwork and realism. I continue to to feel that they are actually living and can only hope you continue to do such wonderful work for as long as you can. - Ken | |
| Love the paintings. I would be very eager to see more. Definitely portray a wonderful sense of male/male friendship in the groups scenes. There seems to be a tension in the "Gifts" painting as if the group is not quite sure how they will be received. - Auggie | |
| I give this T-Bird a BIG THUMBS UP! Thanks for the fun art! - Stephen V. | |
| Although a lot of photographic images lose their freshness (I know, I'm just jaded), your paintings continue to evoke wonderful fantasies... - Will | |

In one word? Great! I don't go for macho stuff and moustaches myself, but that's just a matter of personal preference. What I like is the good draughtsmanship, the use of colour, the sly humour in some of them and the soul and sympathy in others. - Thirsty, U.K. |
| My God, what a good painting work you made...amazing...!!! - Ron, the Netherlands | |
| I like your paintings very much. I think you are quite a talented artist. | |
| Thank you Rick! Too Foo Foo, ! You don't know who your dealing with! I've already considering calling in the press as soon as we get the frame! Already I've called a half dozen friends, AND my mother, read them the certificate on the back and proceeded to describe the painting in full detail! Like a kid a Christmas, I woke last night and went out for a glass of water JUST to see the painting! - Jeff, California | |

I liked your art very much. I also appreciated your life journey both as an artist and as a gay man. It parallels my own journey as a gay man. When I first began to recognize myself as gay, one of my main hurdles was that I didn't fit in with the "queeny" image of a gay man that was the norm among the gay culture at the time. I'm also a Midwesterner who is basically masculine. I too had to find people like myself before I was comfortable in the gay community. I, also, recognized myself in your portrayal of living as a gay man in corporate America. But I had in my final two jobs the liberating feeling that can come from when my employer knew I was gay and trusted me to be appropriate. Interestingly these were high school teaching positions. Your art portrays for me that sense of the average gay man and I want to thank you for it. I actually felt a closer connection to is than anything I have found in other gay artist such as Colt.- John D. |
| wow, you are a truely talented artist. your paintings are very erotic and arousing to me. I haven't seen work that I have liked this much since Etienne. Keep me informed of more.. Jon R. | |
| Hi from Germany! Just discovered your website and want to compliment you on your superb paintings of hot guys! I am absolutely turned on! There is something about your style that oozes male eroticism through the monitor, literally slapping me in the groin, making my dick leak and creating a big wet spot in the front of my jeans. Your stuff is great man! All hats to ya! - Juergen, Hamburg, Germany | |
| thank you got my paintings and i love them they are great i love them- Kenny, Burbank, California | |

| Men & cars. What more could a man want? LOL.- Neal | |
| WOW! I can't wait to see more of your male galleries when they come up. The banks are great! - Russ, Colorado | |
| Your paintings reminds me so much of illustrated schoolbooks and other things belonging to my childhood. I love your way of stating "over-realistic" moods. I may express it the wrong way but I think your work will be remembered as so typically american, just like some melodies by Barber. - Fred | |
| I am sitting here, slightly moist in eye, feeling that have been calling on an old friend as I often had the privilege of doing in the 80's and early 90's. If I were to say that I can't now, cause they've all passed on, you can imagine how the story of the 'gates' just caught me - it's lovely. I shall come back often and look forward to seeing more of your work and writing. It's good to know that after being hounded by the 'right' - something we Brits don't realise happens much in the States - you have been able to support yourself with the wonderful work you do in your art and in this site. Just now you have been an inspiration which I have been needing for some time. It's been a pleasure and I hope to come back soon. - Mike D., London, U.K. | |
| Regarding Murder in West Hollywood by Logan Zachary: I think the story and the whole serial idea is great! You could paint appropriate scenes to accompany the story for each installment. That would keep people wanting to come back to your website! Maybe when the serial is complete, the two of you could find a publisher for the story and your paintings - someone like Taschen or Bruno Gmunder or Jansen! - Paul B. | |

Your style is really dreamful. It reminds me of a very famous american artist of the 50s who so well depicted the american society and famous 50s "american way of life" : Norman Rockwell The name "Rick Chris" now sounds to me as Norman Rockwell's gay "matching piece" for our generation. The only difference is in your talent to make us dream of another "gay way of life". So are you worthy of Tom of Finland and Etienne who were the first to make us dream in this way. Your artwork is really delightful to our eyes and our thoughts. - Louis F. M. - France |

| I am 26 and some where along the way forgot how to take care of myself. I admire you positive attitude. You see I moved out to Los Angeles to go to graduate school and to get on with my life, I finally accepted myself as gay and I was great with it. I am a kind guy and a giving man but made the mistake of getting involved with a guy in the closet and he preceded to drag me into the self hatred I had shed a while ago. Now here I am in LA and while I feel completely lost I felt a glimmer of hope after running into your positive words. I would like to buy a piece of your art in the future. There are a few in private collections already that I would have been proud to have put on my wall. - R.C., Los Angeles, U.S.A. | |
| Keep up the wonderful work... your portfolio is political art at its most subversive... and campy! - Jay Blotcher - New York | |
| It is always a pleasure to visit your site. It must take a lot of effort, but you do it so well, and as I say you give it a bit of your character which makes it that much more interesting and enjoyable. - Richard - Hamburg, Germany | |
| Wow just got through visiting your website, I am very impressed by the images and "other" stuff you place on the site, that is quite an accomplishment. - Glen - Florida |
