The listed price is an argument between the cost of producing the piece (labor,
material costs and overhead costs) versus what the market will bear. Prices
are determined in the same way any business must determine price. The prices
listed on this page are lower than what they would be if sold through a gallery
or third party since the purchase is made directly from the artist.

Title:
"A Perfect Place For Christmas"
This is my tribute painting to both the movie Brokeback Mountain and to the young brilliant actor, Heath Ledger. I dedicated the painting to Mr. Ledger when I signed the painting, since the painting was in progress at the time of Heath's untimely death. The painting depicts an imaginary gay neighborhood, another of my "gay Camelot" paintings as it were, showing a movie palace showing "Brokeback Mountain" during the Christmas season. The time when the movie was first released to theaters. Many of my hours went into this painting and I included a lot of detail. A poster of "Brokeback Mountain" can be found in the lobby, along with poster for the imaginary movies such as "The Front Runner" and "A Person In A Position Of Trust". I've also given some gay celebrities their own businesses in the neighborhood, places to shop or have a bite to eat after the movie. Movie goers are already lined up to buy tickets for the movie and still others are arriving on the snowy street. A warm, inviting neighborhood - a perfect place to see a very special movie. "Tidings Of Comfort And Joy"
A very detailed view of an imaginary gay neighborhood or what I envision a "gay Camelot" would look like. Depicted is a scene during the Christmas holidays with some of the businesses decked out in holiday decorations. A warm glow beckons from the businesses on the block as snow falls on the street, the small Christmas tree lot and the kissing couple. Fantasy Group Scene Series
This series goes back to the days when I first started offering
my artwork on the web, to the days when I signed some of my work as R. Chris,
many dating from around 1999 to 2000. A number of my pieces then were fantasy
male group scenes, which were very well recieved. The scenes involved lockerroom
scenes, skinnydipping scenes and the like. These were something like story paintings,
in that the paintings seemed to suggest a story. Comments I received about the
paintings praised them for being gently and intellectually erotic, without being
blunt or crude, depicting the beauty of the male image in an everyday setting.
