The Leslie-Lohman Gay Art Foundation is a non-profit foundation which was established in 1990 to provide an outlet for art work that is unambiguously gay and which is frequently denied access to mainstream venues. The Foundation's Leslie-Lohman Gallery mounts exhibitions of work in all media by gay and lesbian artists with an emphasis on subject matter that speaks directly to gay and lesbian sensibilities, including, erotic, political, romantic, and social imagery and providing special support for emerging and underrepresented artists. If you are at all into music and would like to see how much gay performers have contributed to the music scene over the years, this site is a MUST SEE. For those of us who love music, JD Doyle has catalogued an incredible amount of information on gay artists and albums including some incredible rare stuff. A fun site to visit and JD has done a great service for the gay community by preserving the history and memory of these artists and recordings. QMH is also a radio show on KPFT radio in Houston, Texas and is also netcast. |

I know that some people don't like Andrew Sullivan or some of his viewpoints. The thing is, in a free society someone's viewpoint does not matter as much as the fact they are willing and have the guts to express it. At one of the low points of my life when I was experiencing a lot of difficulties for being gay, I saw Mr. Sullivan on I believe, the Charlie Rose show. He was delivering an argument in defense of homosexuals on the show and lifted my spirits considerably. Therefore, I put Mr. Sullivan on my heros list. I don't agree with everything that Andrew says, but then again I don't agree with everything anybody says. |
